What No One Tells You About Forestry Mulching

Excavator with mulching head

It’s all about the machine! When selecting a company to work on your property, find out what kind of machine is being used. Forestry Mulching can be done with an excavator or skid steer attachment. An excavator allows selective clearing, extended reach with the arm, and is able to traverse hilly terrain. A skid steer attachment leaves a wider trail and is unable to reach between trees. Skid steers are also heavier machines that do not do well handling uneven ground. At TBX Landworks we use a Cat 306 Excavator with a Torrent Mulching head. Using an excavator with a mulcher attachment allows the greatest reach and selectivity. Our operators are experts at taking out only what vegetation needs to be gone. Also, we offer the benefit of having an excavator with a bucket and a thumb to move large debris as needed on your property.
