What is Underbrush Removal?

Underbrush removal is the process of clearing the saplings, small bushes, and growth around the good healthy trees. Underbrush can rob healthy trees of nutrients and sunlight, forcing the trees to grow at unnatural angles and impairing their integrity, making them more likely to cause damage during heavy winds.

How Often Does Underbrushing Need to Be Done?

Underbrushing can be done as a one-time project but will require the homeowner to follow through to keep the growth down. Underbrushing can also be performed on an annual basis or as the needed to keep the underbrush to a minimum. Good underbrushing is done with a forestry mulcher, allowing the underbrush to be recycled into nutrients for the remaining trees and soil.
